I had a very busy end of Jan and early Feb 2010! And was soo worried that no ideas has struck me all this while...i really wanted to sit and doodle on my doodle pad hours...but i couldn't!
Time is tiacking so fast that i am not in peace of mind.
David Tutera has given me another inspiration to proceed with a "XXXXX" party! And now i need a big space to host my dearest sarah for her 3rd party! Now to choose the venue is going to be tricky!

"Denim Smart" Function Theme
When my office decided to proceed with our Family Day 2010 @ Fraser Hill-Shahzan Inn, i was among those who are happy to be involved in setting it up. As a secretary of the CBG Club, Consumer Banking Headquarters, we worked closely with the dateline given - 30th to 31st Jan 2010. It was a 3 day weekend with the Federal day 1st Feb 2010~Monday.
It was a very challenging theme as for the guest it is quite difficult to find an outfit that is extremely unusual...for a denim..especially for them to win the best dress award!
On our first hunt for the venue @ Fraser Hill (FH),we visited the three proposed venue and decided that Shahzan Inn is the right one! The rooms, the location, the dinner hall and of course the 'grandness' is very important! I love it the moment i saw the cosy-ness of the building and was really glad to found out at last that it was actually Shahzan Inn Hotel which is owned by the Pahang Royalty.
The residential manager, Mr Mokhtar and his assistant; Mr Talib was really helpful and very negotiable with the offer. So from then one we start planning and my main concern is of course the Dinner!! So after our second trip to FH, i started to brainstorm for ideas on the deco and decided that "Bling2 blue denim" would fit it well since we don't have any time to hunt for denim deco items on a very last minute.
The hotel provided the basic deco as requested such as the red carpet,the backdrop letters and bought the blue material to deco each table. I was very happy already with the basic deco and my team to touch up the up lift the "grandness" of hall.
Little disco balls here, medium disco ball there and one big one for the stage..the helium balloon we did it ourself..the tie back mini balloon too...me and isrun did it ourself! I think it turned out well...but of course we have to wait for some feedback..hehe..
Congrats to my deco theme..hoping A2PPL can expand more.
I'm glad that the GM agreed to the 'Smart Denim" night.

Balloons!
I love these balloons! And found this uncle at Tesco Ampang and each balloons cost from RM3 to RM 8..but strictly to those designs. If you are interested to call him to open a balloon counter he can be contact via his hp. I got his number...just email me..as usual :)

My best friend, Fazilah (Fazz) is expecting her 2nd baby in January 2010. As a part time party planner i am more than happy to host the surprise baby shower. I planned it since i got to know she was pregnant somewhere late June 2009. Precious hours spend to doodle the ideas to make sure all the details are planned and coordinate well.
The most challenging part in event organizing i think for me is to choose the perfect theme and the guests list. If you planned carefully u'll able to start hunting for your items for the party farrrr wayyy advance! which is of course i took advantage of the recent X-mas sale. :)
I shop for the IKEA blue and pink light since Oct 2009..the curtain turned into table covers too from IKEA ..LOL!
My favourite thematic deco is of course the Diaper Cake...i bought the newly born mami poko diapers as a premium choice of pampers recommended to Fazz somewhere in August 2009..and start doing the diaper cake in Oct...walla...everything was ready by the time i managed to get an impromtu date for everyone to gather which was last minutely confirmed on Monday 28th Dec 2009, got 4 days to ensure everything is in order.
At last on 1st January 2009, 9pm...we managed to host this wonderful baby shower :)
Finding a gimmick again...was a bit of last minute idea..where i asked aimi and nina to pretend together with me that we are picking Fazz up to bring her to a restaurant to have our usual casual get together...aimi blindfold her with a used black tudung which i have cut and fold nicely.
It was funny and fun...i had to get Fazz's hubby consent and asked Fazz's sister Angah to assist being the photographer.
So here we are...7 of us...(2 more were outstation)...

Dessert -Blue lagoon jelly with fruit cocktail , cupcakes and longan +laici in syrups
Nyum nyum.

Hot to Tie A Floral Bow
This is what i managed to do on my first trial :)
Hi again...been really busy this December 2009 and only today i managed to sit and update my favourite blog. I have always have this interest to learn how to tie my own ribbons...and finally today...thanks to te technology of virtual information i managed to tie my own ribbon for the upcoming event that i'll be hosting...i'll upload my 1st ribbon (do it ur self) later...hahah
